Sales Executive

 Contract Type: Full-time

Salary: R25 000, 5% Commission, with relevance to experience.

Location: Sandton, Gauteng.

Introduction: This is an exciting time for a driven and passionate Mid-level Sales Executive to join a well-established Digital Media company and help set the foundation and shape the future of their business in South Africa.

Specification: Duties & Responsibilities:

Manage key relationship across channels:

  • Grow relationships with a select group of clients and agencies defined across Digital Shero’s portfolio of clients
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of client business to ensure high level, turnkey solutions that unlock revenue
  • Identify trends and threats in select sectors to upsell new and existing products
  • Monitor performance of a portfolio (area of responsibility) on a weekly basis
  • Conceptualise and implement relevant campaigns for clients
  • Experience and confidence in systems and tools
  • Digital Marketing, Web Traffic Management, online advertising and SEO management
  • In depth knowledge of the following digital marketing channels and platforms paid search (Google Adwords), retargeting, display, social advertising, SEO, CRM
  • A comprehensive understanding of Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Dragon Metrics in order to report on campaigns
  • Be an active and highly effective networker
  • Build, maintain and nurture relationships with all clients assigned to you through consistent communication patterns and timeous responses

Manage a portfolio of advertising clients and agencies to ensure portfolio targets are achieved:

  • Achieve and exceed sales revenue budgets
  • Develop a sales strategy to achieve set budgets by brand relevant to a specific portfolio
  • Develop detailed action plans to execute the sales strategy
  • Build and develop strong relationships with clients, client media and communication partners
  • Develop new business and maintain existing business
  • Managing the brands’ engagement opportunities for advertiser benefit
  • Prepare relevant reports providing feedback on sales activity, sales performance and all matters in process/outstanding/in need of resolution
  • Carry out any reasonable request relating to National Sales, which may include afterhours work

 

Experience:

· Proven track record in media sales with consistent achievement of revenue targets within the sector

· At least 3-5 years of agency / client facing media sales experience

· Minimum experience in business-to-business sales (B2B) marketing

· Experience of presenting to large and small audiences of various levels within a business

 

Knowledge & Skills:

· Strong Interpersonal skills

· Attention to detail

· Excellent presentation skills

· Excellent communication skills – written, verbal and telephonic

· Above average problem solving ability and negotiation skills

· Thorough understanding of marketing processes

· Able to make decisions

· Strong leadership qualities

· Knowledge of SA digital landscape

 

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Sales & Marketing / Advertising or equivalent experience

· Experience across diverse management disciplines
